my mom used to write for the school newspaper when she was doing her undergrad, and a couple years ago we found a box filled with maybe a year’s worth of issues. basically every article was student activist-y, earnest, kinda dry “save wherever” sort of stuff. but my mom’s column was a year’s worth of articles about how the price of diet coke was going up ten cents, written in the exact same style as all the other articles. I think she was just fucking with them. my mom’s tough and she’s got fairly solid politics but she’s also totally camp. so performing ignorance? as a response to feminist boredom? I think she would categorize it as playing dumb to avoid insufferable conversations.  maybe it would have been ideal for her to speak up about why she found their ways of speaking alienating. but also, durational performance satire! why not? of course she was marginalized/excluded in certain ways because everyone thought she was kind of ditzy, and maybe that’s where just being snarky and bored in yr feminism stops being such a useful tool.  still though. if I find those articles I’ll post them, they’re priceless.
